My photographs range in tone from merely documenting a newly encountered species, to capturing bird behavior—foraging, flying, preening, feeding young, to the quiet, meditative moments when, resting from frenetic activities, they perch and pause into the present moment. I absolutely love these Zen moments in Wonderland where the enchanting element of space both holds and releases everything within the photographic frame and beyond. June’s photograph offers one of these moments: where you can hold peace and breathe deep, and then exhale and release everything you never knew you were actually carrying within you that wants to be let go, and you can just magically sit with a Nashville Warbler and feel the infinite.
